Tuesday afternoon Kolten and Kaylee were invited to a really fun Dinosaur Day activity put on by some friends of ours. They started out talking about dinosaurs in the house before they hopped onto the pretend airplain that flew them to "dinosaur land!" They were so excited and had been looking forward to this for DAYS!!

They also got to search for dinosaur eggs in a dinosaur nest before the "volcano" eruputed and they had to hurry back to the plane to get home safely!
After they found their bones, they brought them over to their work stations where they cleaned them off with a brush and measured how long they were. It was so fun watching them because they were VERY serious about what they were doing and LOVING every second of it!!
After all of the bones were found and cleaned they began piecing them together to find out what kind of dinosaur they had found...
It tured out to be a LONGNECK!!

They had a GREAT time and the weather was wonderful. They only downfall to the whole experience is that now they are convinced that we need to head up to our "bone pile" (where we put all of the dead cows) to get us some bones to create our own dinosaur! That is where I draw the line of being a good mom though, sorry kids:)!!!

What a fun cute Idea! I love it! I agree with you on going to your "Dead cow" Pile to search for bones...yuck!
That looks like so much fun. What a fun way to spend an afternoon. Can't wait to see you this weekend...by the way Bobby did our last post. That would explain the lack of copy.
Oh gross. Going up in the field would not be a good time. The other dig looks so fun! What an adventure! Longnecks are my favorite dinosaur.

They are well on their way to becoming paleontologists!! Between Fossil Butte, Mrs. Harris' dig and the Thanksgiving Point dinosaur museum they have been living with the dinosaurs!!
