Easter

Easter morning started bright and early for us this year. As the kids get older and more excited they wake up and want things to get rolling a lot earlier;) Shane had to work and was bummed out that he had to miss out on the action. Kaylee and Kolten were really cute helping Kolby find the "easy" eggs but then really had to start thinking like the Easter Bunny to find their baskets and some of the eggs.

Kolby was having fun finding the eggs until he came across his Easter basket and then all he could think about was candy, candy, and more candy!! Kolby got a hat, a new summer outfit, a shake and go car and lots of yummy candy from the Easter Bunny. He couldn't have been a happier boy!Kaylee was the most excited I think. She is still talking about how much fun it was finding the eggs and her Easter basket. She got some new flip-flops, a summer outfit, a barbie and lots of candy too.Kolten really had to think and look hard for his Easter basket. He said, "usually the Easter Bunny hides my basket right here in the corner." I had to remind him that he is older now and the Easter Bunny hides things a little more tricky for older kids! After some good thinking and searching he ended up finding it in the oven. He got lots of candy as well, a summer outfit, flip-flops, and a basketball that we haven't heard not bouncing since!
We had a busy day ahead of us as usual and got ready and headed to and Easter egg hunt at our friend L'Nette's house. Her and her two boys, Newt and Dusty, died 120 eggs for all of the little kids that they know. There were about 16 little egg hunters there and they had so much fun looking all around her house outside. From there we went and visited Shane's Grandma and Grandpa Stanley and finished the afternoon with Nana, Papa, Boone and Breanna. It was a great Easter and we are so lucky to live around our wonderful family that we can spend the holidays with.

The kids got new zhu zhu hampster pets and a house for them for Easter from Nana and Papa. They LOVE them!! They also got some new books from them too (we all know that Nana can't pass up a perfect opportunity to give the kids a new book;)

Fun! They got lots of cool stuff. We can't get a break from hearing "Kolby" around our house. "Kolby house, Kolby cows, Kolby Kaylee".
